To flash the BIOS, it is necessary to disable the BIOS Write-Protect. Shut down the system. Remove the three screws on the bottom of the unit that hold the palmrest on. Remove the palm rest, and locate the DIP switch. Change switch 1 to the off position. Reboot the system, and proceed with the BIOS update.
