Synchronizing Your MobilePro

Being "synchronized" means that both computers have the latest copy of your work, no matter where it was created.
You can connect with your desktop computer to synchronize files, Pocket Outlook data, and e-mail messages in your H/PC Inbox if you use Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange on your desktop computer.
If you are using a PC Connect serial cable, connecting the cable between your H/PC and your desktop computer starts the synchronization.
If you are using an IR (infrared) connection, synchronization begins when your MobilePro H/PC comes in the acceptable range of your desktop or notebook computer's infrared port.
To change your Microsoft Windows CE ActiveSync synchronization options, connect your MobilePro to your desktop PC using the PC Connect serial cable, then open the Mobile Devices folder on your desktop PC. Look for your MobilePro icon, and single click to select it. Then pull down the Mobile Devices Tools and select ActiveSync Options. At this point you can check off the services you want to synchronize, including messages, appointments, contacts, and files.
Note
E-mail message synchronization is not enabled by default. Be sure to enable this ActiveSync option if you want to synchronize e-mail between your PC and your MobilePro H/PC.
For more information, see Windows CE Services Help in the Mobile Devices window on your desktop computer.
