Setting Up Ethernet PC Cards
The MobilePro is compatible with many low-power Ethernet PC cards. Many compatible cards come with device driver software for Windows CE computers such as the MobilePro. Some older cards work with the NE2000 Ethernet drivers supplied with the MobilePro.
You can access the Ethernet drivers for NE2000 type PC cards in the Optional Software directory on the Microsoft Mobile Services CD. The drivers require about 200 KB on the MobilePro.
You'll need an Ethernet board or PC card in your desktop or notebook system that is properly configured for TCP/IP and Client for Microsoft Networks.
Once you have the drivers loaded and the Ethernet PC card installed, you must configure it for your network. You will need the IP Address and Primary DNS. Obtain this information from your system administrator.
Be sure your MobilePro is connected with your desktop or notebook system before attempting an Ethernet connection and setup.
