AT&T Worldnet

To connect your MobilePro to the AT&T Worldnet Internet service, first check with AT&T Worldnet on the availability of Windows CE installation software. Manual setup for AT&T Worldnet Internet is also possible, but requires that you have an existing AT&T Worldnet Internet account.
Use these steps to manually configure your MobilePro's internal modem to access to your AT&T Worldnet Internet account.
- Tap the Start button on the taskbar and then tap Programs. From the sub choose Communication and Remote Networking.
- Double tap on Make a New Connection, and name it "AT&T Worldnet." Select Dial Up Connection and tap Next.
- From the drop down-, select Internal Modem on COM4.
- Tap Configure and change the baud rate to 115200 bps, then tap OK.
- Tap TCP/IP Settings. On the General tab page make sure Server Assigned IP Addresses is checked. On the Name Servers tab page make sure that Server Assigned Addresses is checked. Then tap OK.
- Tap Next to continue to the next page.
- Enter your AT&T Worldnet access telephone number.
- Tap Finish to close the Dial-Up Connection setup.
- Open Inbox on your desktop and tap the Services button on the toolbar to open the Options dialog box.
- Tap on the Services tab, and press Add…to open the Services list.
- Select POP3 Mail and tap on it. Type in a unique Service name (for example, "AT&T Worldnet Dial-Up") and tap OK.
- Fill in the required fields in the Service Definition dialog box. These include:
- Connection drop-down - select AT&T Worldnet.
- POP3 Host - obtain this from AT&T Worldnet (typically "postoffice.worldnet.att.net").
- User ID and Password - obtain this from AT&T Worldnet
- STMP Host - obtain this from AT&T Worldnet (typically "mailhost.worldnet.att.net").
- Return Address - obtain this from AT&T Worldnet.
- Tap Finish, or tap Next and select any optional settings you want then press Finish.
