Windows NT Server RAS

Use these steps to configure your MobilePro’s internal modem after you establish a RAS account through your corporate system administrator. It is highly recommended that you consult your network system administrator before attempting this connection because requirements and details may vary on your network.

SETUP RAS DIAL-IN ON YOUR MOBILEPRO
  1. Select Start on the taskbar and scroll up to Programs. Access the Communications selection and open Remote Networking.
  2. Double tap on Make a New Connection, and give it a unique name such as “Corp Dial-up” or “RAS.” Choose the connection type, Dial-up or Direct, and then tap on Next.
  3. In the dialog box, select modem section, and select the port for the on-board modem.
  4. Tap Configure and set the baud rate to 57600 bps. Then tap OK to save the device properties settings.
  5. Tap TCP/IP Settings and be sure that the "server assigned" checkboxes in the General tab and Name Servers tab are enabled. Then tap OK to save these device properties.
  6. Tap Next to continue. Enter your RAS telephone number (provided by your system administrator).
  7. Tap Finish to close the Dial-Up Connection setup.
