There are two types of CD-ROMs: SCSI and IDE.
In order to determine the driver you need, first determine the make and model
number of your NEC Corporation of America OEM CD-ROM (CDR-xxxx - located on top of the CD-ROM reader or if external located on the back or bottom of the unit) or NEC Corporation of America OEM SCSI interface (printed on the SCSI card), then look at the table below.
NEC Corporation of America OEM SCSI CD-ROM device drivers are specific to the SCSI interface, not the CD-ROM reader itself. If you have an IDE CD-ROM, the drivers are specific to the CD-ROM model number. If you have a NEC Corporation of America OEM SCSI interface, you can download the driver files off the NEC Corporation of America OEM website or
the FTP site: (ftp://ftp.necam.com/pub/peripherals/cd-rom).
